Old post I know but to add to the info, I just used CEVA to get a car from Sydney to Melbourne. Was a runner which made things easier. CEVA was cheaper and much quicker than door2door quoted. I think because door2door are smaller they do it when they can fit it in which in this case was about a 3 week wait.
Anyway CEVA worked out well, I booked monday, car was picked up tuesday and it's now here with me in melbourne. Very happy.

Ugh... Door 2 Door transport arn't my cup of tea.
They chopped my left indicator, and my V badge that sits on the boot went missing. And also, They took ages, AND reffered to my car as "The shitty bel air"

for sydney-wollongong Sydney Auto freight ph 0413161000 is a small business owned by a rodder, he has about 7 trucks including a prime mover running interstate, he does mainly work for mercedes benz and Audi dealers, most of his trucks are on bags that drop the trailer with wide hydrulic ramps and flip outs so low cars are rarely a problem.

Moving things across the Ditch.
I was trying to get a chassis from New Zealand. I've been quoted the cost of an empty 20' container. Almost the same cost as from USA. There has to be a cheaper way ??? :D
