I fell in love with the beast the first second I saw it. It's not all there but I'll get it on the road with a few of modifications. It's going to get a drive chain up date but first need to sought out the chassis and ifs then the diff and setup.
My experience having vehicles with both fitted is use a jag front end .
The pilot i have is running an l300 front end and although it rides fine , it is a nightmare to align properly .
It currently has too much neg camber on one side with no adjustment left to rectify it .
Where as the jag front ends i have fitted to f100's and my 47 coupe have never had issues , and parts are easilly obtained .
Thanks alot guys that's exactly what I needed to know. Appreciate your time answering, I'm going to go the Jag series three. Great info and it helps you have cars with the parts in to know. I had another who said what you both said but he had only heard it second hand.
Thanks for that I just spent hours reading. There have been so many projects with L300 information. It's been helpful to choose which way to go. Great resources here. Now I'm looking into the track side of things. I want to be informed before I buy right donor car. But I'm already seeing that the correct IFS for the Hudson is the Jag front.

Search - L300 Front Ends - Thanks to Peter Koning
He did a good article that I posted on OzRodders many years ago.
It was hoppers that fitted the l300 in the pilot i own .
And i think most if not all of the pics in that article are of the install in the pilot .
I wouldn't take any of that info to use , as the way it's been setup is absolute shit .
When Dave the original owner left their workshop to take the car home after completion , the wheel alignment was so bad the front tyres were squeeling going in a straight line !!
And after numerous attempts to align it , it'is still not right .
Everything they did to Dave's pilot was sub standard .
Even the braking system has had issues , and they are supposed to be the brake experts .
Dave didn't even make it to the boat to go home to Tassie without a breakdown .
He stressed out at their shit work so much the poor bugger suffered a stroke .
After that he basically had to rebuild the car himself .
I'm thinking about pulling the front end and and replacing it with something else .
