Cars and Coffee at Rouse Hill 21/2/2024

Post by zuffen »

Another early Sunday morning start for Pete and myself.

Despite me taking one wrong turn and almost missing a second we made it to the meet. I drive this road at least 3 times a week but today I was having an old man's day!

Here we go. I've omitted maybe 80% of the vehicles attending as who wants to look at modern Commodores, mustangs of Japanese cars?

Image

Image

Not the prettiest of E Types but still for a 60 year old car it's out there.

Image

From long bonnets to very short rear bonnets.

Image

Image

A survivor, complete with battle scars.

Image

A Brougham, they weren't common in their day, but it's surprising how many have survived.

I guess you could say this Comaro had character and the owner must be a fun person as well. This is an older right hand drive conversion so at some point worth good money.

Not too many real rally cars turn up at these sorts of events. The only rally car I've ever seen here is our Range Rover.

Image

The EH was sweet and you can see Pete (Sly Fox) in the background stealing ideas.

Image

This car proves Hot Rodding takes on many forms.

Everyone seemed to be getting very excited about this, but somehow I missed what they were excited about?

Image

Image

As a kid I liked this colour, still do on the right car.

If I had to drive a Ford it would be this colour.

Image

One of two Tribute cars.

Image

Great to see a Summernats winner being driven and used like a car should.

Image

A couple of special Rods

This had all the trim painted silver. The only really shiny stuff was the rims.

Image

This just had the ride height, wheels and colour right.

Maybe I should have closed the door for him before taking a photo.

That's it another perfect morning to indulge in some car porn.

Looks like nice weather and a good turnout there.
The days of getting easily distracted and missing turns happens to us all. :)

It was a great start to the day, and we beat the 38 degree heat.

Rod was struggling to multitask, we were busy chatting but I can confirm the Fargo has good brakes to make last second corners.

Thanks for the pics, looks like a good turn out with some nice hot rods too. Will have to check it out one day.

The Ecto 1 replica would be my pick of the cars to take home :)

Yeah. I've changed my signature. The old one was out of date...
