Despite the drizzle Pete (Sly Fox) and I headed off for coffee this morning to a meet neither of us had ever been to before.
This meet is organised by a gent who runs a coffee shop, as a way to get traffic through the door on a Sunday. Clearly it works.
This even is held around 4K's away from our regular Rouse Hill events but attracts a totally different crowd. There were many vehicles there we had never seen before plus a few regulars form different events we've been to.
Enough, on to phots.
This 57 Chev just looked the goods.
This Chev truck was very subtle in the mods but a good looking jigger.
This one gets around quite a bit.
With this message on the firewall.
The slowest Ford at the meet, but not the slowest car, that may have been a standard Fiat 500.
A really nice Impala SS.
This Monaro wasn't perfect but it was an eyecatcher and I would have driven it home with a very big smile on my face.
Under the Dodge's bonnet. Still water runs deep!
The old guy driving this had to do a few laps of the carpark to find room to moor his barge. An amazingly original Caddy.
A nice pilot (I like the colour) with a nice roof chop. Not too much, not too little.
Stock standard EH sedan in very good condition.
This early Ford Thunderbird looked magnificent in this colour.
A bit of an unusual one, a long wheelbase Lariat.
This Capri just oozed class.
Understated but class Mustang.
99% sure this isn't the original vehicle but if not, a good effort at reproducing it.
Looking at the photos most attendees seemed incapable of parking within their designated marked area. I'm using the excuse the Ford truck beside me occupied two space long and 1 and a bit wide.

I have to travel a lot further to get a change of rods. Usually into the northern suburbs and takes a good 45 minutes to an hour. Totally different type of people and style of cars then.

If I were to travel to Penrith (about an hour) the cars and people are very different.
Not bagging people from Penrith, just their cars are more about performance than looks. A bit like my car it fits in out there well.
