The day after getting the Ute home started with Rod getting the drivetrain ready to remove and I took on the feral interior strip out.
with the interior stripped out it exposed some decent holes in the floor, not to worry the plan is to replace it with new flat floors.
Not a fun job, bench seat cleaned up and it was picked up by it’s new owner today.
I’m planning on using some low back bucket seats.
With a smashed driver’s window and an inch or two of dirt on the floor from dust storms, the floors were never going to survive.
Once the engine was out and the whole car had been pressure washed a few times, it was moved into the garage where the front & rear suspension was removed ready for a future upgrading.

With everything stripped it was the moment I’d been waiting for, setting it up at a more decent ride height and the old chromies used to bring it home got placed loosely in position, it’s looking better already.
It was a good day getting it stripped down in eight hours, the extra set of hands from Rod certainly helped make that happen.

Unfortunately, the EH must wait it’s turn while I move back onto finishing my 51 Dodge.
Over the last couple of weeks, I cleaned up a few bits I had laying around so they can get packed away to clean up the place.
Hinges removed from the well worn tailgate, how do rocks get inside these panels.
I'll take the skin off next to save the inside panel for a new skin down the track.
Hinges cleaned up and coated with SW2.
Engine bay almost stripped out, it’s all good solid metal and cowl vent panel stripped.
Started cleaning up a HR front end, I’ve decided to use a new IFS setup so the HR front end will be sold.
Other loose parts will go through the citric acid tank and get cleaned up while I work on the Dodge and then all packed away till later.

A couple of quick questions.
Does the cowl vent work? As in is it free to move?
Will you treat the whole HR front end the same way?
How are the hinges, Any freeplay in them?
I haven't checked the cowl vent, so I'm not sure.
Yes the whole HR will be cleaned up, the process is under way.
The hinges are perfect, no freeplay at all. I like the hidden hinge look with a full sedan rear bumper and rolled pan/beaver panel, so the hinges might not be used.
