how about some pics of single or twin spinners i havent got any pics of my twin from late 50.s but boy did i have some stories about the old thing first car i did 100mph in (indicated)

That's a rare one and the first one I've seen. I've been 100mph+ in spinner but it was OHV motivated :D
If it has tits or wheels, you can expect trouble.

an older mate had one in 50.s (single ) dropped it back to second at a fair rate of knots put fan up thru bonnet
i did 100mph when sydenham was all paddocks and skinny roads :D

I've got a nice tidy twin spinner ute with a 352 FE, FMX and 9'' diff out of a tank Fairlane that the Mrs. and I have done a couple of trips up to the NT in but haven't pushed it up to 100 yet :D
If it has tits or wheels, you can expect trouble.

I don't own a camera or know how to post pics but I may be able to talk one of the Grand kids into it.

i use one of my older phones just for pics since my camera buggered up
be great if you could get them to put some up im sure there are others with twin or singles on here that could put some pics up before the whole site dies from lack of posts bloody shame
whats the saying you dont know how much you liked it til its gone
site gets heaps of traffic but bugger all posts

He has had a bit of a play with them.
My younger brother had a ripper black one in the 60s but no idea
where it has gone.

when i was a kid in the 50.s 90% of them were factory black in west suburbs there was one 49/50 woodie brought in new was maroon and as far as i know never garaged it was in gordon st Footscray i never saw it after late 50.s the paint was a bit faded even then but cant remember any rust on it

You would be a brave man to drive at 100 mph with a stock steering box ,before I changed to a Volvo box my spinner was scary at anything over 100 kph ..

thats the way it was done in 50.s no problem at all also back then we were racing cars(my FX)(on the circuit)in polo shirts .no roll cages..drum brakes ..etc i have a customline here with std box here thats more than capable of exceeding 100mph :D not that i would do that on a public h/way of course :D
