Crikey I have been a long time going nowhere with this.

thats a very sexy build dave....luv the hi rise manifold :D

i've been wondering for a long time what you are building...now i know....in the words of a famous tasmanian...we need more pic's

on a more serious note most people i know with gas powered cars are going back to petrol power for no other reason

than gas is getting hard to find and increasingly expensive.....just this past week i had to do an 80km round trip to fill my tanks

and paid $1.32 a litre as apposed to the $0.85 that i usually get it for....over here gas has run it's race....even the servos in perth are

removing there tanks....i hope you are more fortunate and have no problems in tassie.

sorry for sounding so negative....but better to be forewarned than find out the hard way :D
cheers joe

You are a cheeky bugger Joe.
The availability of gas is a bit of a 2 way story. I know a few who are
removing their systems and others who say not to worry.
A bloke with a magenta coupe assures me that I do not need to worry,
but a bloke I know with an old ute carrying lots of metalflake tells me
the sky is falling.
I will see where the servos lead me. Hopefully a long way.
Pics will be coming in soon as I do some more.
Maybe tonight.

i went to the top of NSW a couple of years ago had to make shore to have petrol in the tank because it was hit and miss !!!! we went up and back the same way so just had to remember with servos had it or not ??? we had to run petrol for about 100 ks before we could fill up LPG again

hi dave i did not intend to be cheeky and was not going to mention the gas but then thought it to be relevant ....

that is the situation "I" face here in york 100km east of perth....the local servo that used to supply lpg gave it away as in his words...not worth it and can't be bothered.....
so the nearest gas is 80 km round trip blah blah blah.

nearly every country town in a radius of 100 km's have pulled out the lpg tanks and those that haven't don't bother repairing the pumps that break down...
even down in the big smoke of perth when the tanks come up for certification they get removed and so it goes.

when we came to tassie for the last nats i had some problems in a couple of towns....but because my car is dedicated gas,i have 2 tanks,so that was and is still to this day
a life saver

as i stated i hope it is not a problem for you and you have no issues with lpg it is not all doom and gloom.
i really think lpg should be more abundant and available as it is a clean and viable resource that we have.....in spite of the politics

again the above is about my problems
cheers joe

Hi like Joe I had problems getting gas in tazy at the last nats so now the Pilot is TPI with all the reports of it not being available in places that it was it's just not worth it any more.

Tassie Dave, which model Hilux diff have you chosen and what are the specs on them in terms of ratio and width? I remember chatting to an old fella with a blue 35 chevy coupe (Max I think his name was) at the Gold Coast Nationals about him running a Hilux diff but cant remember the model or year.
