I thought it was a Hemi but these Toyotas are supposed to be great motors.

Can you lower the floor to accomodate your new seat, just a thought.

No the floor level is dictated by the chassis which is very original style
and fully braced. No room to move there.
Worked out last night where and how to modify the base and also moved the body
forward a bit to centre the wheels.
Can now cut the inner guard a lot less to fit the tyres and stop bodywork interference.

She asked my a few weeks back could she have a drive when it's finished.
I said anytime you want, if I'm not.
It's only a car.

Got that seat apart and now am in the process of fixing it. Work tomorrow on the rear beaver panel
and the B pillar upright area.
It's fun but bloody tiring.

Im with you Dave its only a car..When I had the A coupe .I would let anyone who asked or offer to let them drive it. the more in this hobby the better . I think an A vicky will be next on my list ::

I can never forget the first time we had an Ozrodders run and get together.
A bloke just handed me the keys to his hotrod and said there you go.
It was a ripper looking car and really well built.I asked him if there was anything I
needed to know about how it should be driven.

He said nah just drive it like you stole it!
I drove it down a gravel road,no choice,and got into it.
Ripper car!

I agree that a build is tiring..............and relentless. Once you drive it though, I am sure you will forget exactly how hard and tiring the build was. Bike's are much faster build hey

Andrew's car would've been a cool thing to pilot. Did you drive it with blown hemi or 'rammed chev?

Crikey Christopher you are so formal sometimes.
OK just for you.

Changed my mind on the taillights. These are heavy alloy with really bright stop light
and a number plate light included.



Bloody nails in header panel. Over 30 and a pain to remove wood. I had set fire to one end by accident and it had to come out.
Will put new wood in and mount my wipers through it.





Now to go outside and play in the shed a bit more.

We have radiator emblem.



I designed the engine setup long ago. Never had the engine in and body on before. Had to make a couple of small adjustments
but it all fits and is height legal. Even I can safely see road ahead.





Made and fitted new grille mesh and setup radiator and all fits really well.



Caleb suggested making my own wheels up.
