Anyone live near Moorabin that can look at a car for me?

Post by Pep »

HI...I've got my eye on a car at a company called TGS Classic and Muscle Cars. Looks fairly good in the pics but just need reassurance there is nothing obviously bad with it.

Much appreciated

Hi Pep.
That place is in Cochranes Rd . I tried their website to see just what they have ,unfortunately their website is one that I experience "internet explorer has stopped working" . Real bummer , a site like Bunnings does the same , must be something in my puter , Yet most other sites not a problem . Anyway I am familiar with that road ,as my son once worked nearby some years back . If I can help you ,I can mosey down that way .

I also checked them out on FB, and noted that a few friends of mine "like" or follow them.
Included is Rob Milkins who has his own business Cleveland Spares, so I am thinking they
have a good reputation, if that's any help to you.
Anyway I am sure Frank will thoroughly check it out, he has a lot of experience with those
classic cars.
Cheers

Yeah, apparently engine was recode 5000 km ago. I'll have to start learning FE engines. Looks close to being here next week. Thanks to Frank for going out of his way and being my eyes. It's good to have someone that knows what to look for instead of me flying down myself. It takes a lot of concerns away. I'll offer my services to anyone in a similar position if they want a car up here. Not concerned what part of Sydney, I'm retired so time is no problem.

Yeah Mick, still have the roadster. I have been tinkering with it and have done everything to it that I wanted to do. Last things were converting it to EFI and changing it to a power rack a few years ago. Hence the interest in getting another car. I don't want a project and since I was a kid I loved the 61/62T Birds. This will give me something new to occupy my time.

Thanks Frank Ill keep that in mind if I need to delve into it but I'm thinking it has similar genetics to the later Ford engines. Hopefully its a good engine, only recoed 5000 km ago.
