Been a while since I have posted, no work on the Ute unfortunately since Virus. But to say I haven't been hard at it would be cruel.
Decided (well not really me but you know how it is) that we needed to finish off the last 2 rooms in our house that have not been renovated since we purchased it 26 years ago.
My son quipped 'well Dad if you finish the house then you car do the Ute with no dramas from Mum".
Pictures will say it all, but salt damp and cracks are the big issues in 110 year old houses around here. Had the stone mason to do most of the repairs, I chiseled it all out so he could fill it back up again.
Lots of steps in the process, bit like building a car, the sanding, filling small cracks and imperfections painting is all my job.

At least I didn't have to pick paint colours on this job, that was all her choice.

One room done almost just waiting for some tiles for the fire register, one to go.

Thanks for the encouragement, hopefully with a couple of weeks off over Christmas I'll have the lounge finished.

Then back into the Mainline in the new year.

Jackbits the ceilings are 12 foot , 3.7 m so the walls take a bit of paint, the ceilings are pressed tin, so I'm using
oil based enamel to prevent any rust. I used a Wagner sprayer to do them, made it easier with all the raised stampings.

Thanks Newbee, I thought they may have been 12 foot ceilings, my house has 9 foot ceilings and they sure looked taller than them.
It must be a beautiful old house, any chances of a photo or two of the outside, if you don't mind and I can understand if you don't want to.

I got to say it is nice to see what other members do beside "Hot Rods", a bit of an inside to what drives members.

For sure ! A glimpse of the ol' house will be great. SA has different architecture, from what I've seen driving through Adelaide and its innards and going to places like Kapunda/Gawler/Tanunda/Angaston/Nuriootpa/Clare/Balaklava/ Paskeville.... Totally different to other areas in Oz. And Jack... I've been getting all keen and worked up on working on my bonsai plants this time of year.
