I shortened my BW diff out of a fairlane using another short axle I cut the tube using a large pipe cutter.Turned up a press fit sleeve to fit inside the tube .I used an aligning bar when I welded it up and never had any warping.

I can see Newbee’s pictures on the first few pages, then almost everyone else’s on the pages after that but not Newbee’s

House renos are all but done, of course it got bigger than the original plan, 2 extra bedrooms had to have new carpets the same as the newly renovated one
and of course they need repainting because yellow walls were not going to go with grey carpet. :( :(

Very happy with the floors, the Baltic Pine came up a treat, only a few little jobs left, the repairs to the lead light windows are nearly finished
(my little sister is doing a freebee for me) , the fire box and mantle will be done tomorrow so then a week tidying the shed and back into it. :D :D

Stumbled across the fellow backing this into his yard just down the lane from me, I stopped to give him a hand, we talk reasonably often about cars, he has a little collection.
He had just got back from a restorers car run with it behind his car, anyway he said its probably its last run, he said his confidence when towing had gone and he was thinking of selling it.
Of course I didn't hesitate to let him know I may be interested, so he said he would make a decision with his wife and let me know, now its in my back yard.

Any guesses as to what these tail lights and indicators are off of ?? They will be the same as his tow car, as is the green accent paint.

It's very tidy inside and out, that's probably the main reason the boss lady agreed to it, one less job to do, just hook up and go.
This winter has been quite wet here and its been out in it for a while now with no sign of any leaks which is great, just waiting
for a mate to clear up some shed space and it will be put under cover soon.
(Although I will give the bearings, brakes and springs a once over before going too far.)

I recon it will look OK behind the Mainline. :D :D

Pretty good Chris, the previous owner towed it with a 59 Chrysler Royal, green.

Looks very nice inside, both the house and the caravan. :)

Great work with the renovations Newbee and even better work securing such a cool looking caravan.

Cant say I've ever seen one like it, good size and style and will definitely look cool behind the Mainline and together they'll draw a crowd wherever they go.

Glad to hear your close to getting back into the build and keep us updated with what you get up to.

Thanks guys, the van is a 1967 Adelma, which apparently short for Adelaide Made, they are very similar to Roadmaster, also made in Adelaide.

Adelma we’re made by people who used to work for Roadmaster and must have had access to the plans.
