Re: Pilot Update
Thanks for the interest fellas.
This weekend I decided to paint the roof section that was placed on the Pilot back in the 60's, not going to take it off or anything like that. The plan is to cover it in marine grade vinyl and foam, water proof and very hard wearing in relation to weather and water. But the guy who did the seats is waiting for the right edging so it will look the part, so I decided to give it a couple of coats of epoxy primer and the a couple of matt black this is the result.
Hopefully I'l have a result soon.

Re: Pilot Update
It's a pain in the arse to find the engine number on the clevo in the pilot, have to just about pull the car apart, so I had a photo of it from my first engineers inspection and decided to make a brass plate to mach the one on the other side. It just has the engine number and engine type stamped into it.
I also received these in the mail this morning as they are almost impossible to buy without giving a kidney or a liver plus dollars. Laser cut SS with perspex lens way under a hundred bucks.
I know its a Vic plate but similar to the NSW I'm getting so should look ok.

Re: Pilot Update
Great idea with the Engine number Chrisso, especially matching it to the other tag from the factory.

Re: Pilot Update
As said previously , great idea with the engine number, it usually is a pain to find then read off a crusty engine block in a car . Careful you don’t catch anything off that victorian plate
when are you going to finish it?
