Ok so here goes.

I have been doing a lot of reading on here and elsewhere; and it seems to me that this model isn't the most common thing around.

I have had it for about 1 year now, and most of that time was spent cleaning stuff, looking for donors, utilising donor's bits, etc.
Oh, and reading, reading, reading!
I managed to get a couple of extra doors & guards, but all are either real rusty, or the not so rusted ones are damaged.
Still got a heap of cleaning up to do!

Are we still OK to have 100mm ground clearance? I think I will be up round 120 - 130mm at the lowest point anyhow.

So, a couple of pics of it when it was dragged home....


Please bear with me, as I am doing this for the 1st time, and I'm sure to ask quite a few dumb questions along the way.
At least the Mrs knows where I am

I scored a series III Sovereign for 830 bucks. Drove it on the trailer.



So I have a front & rear to add. Sold off the Dodge's steering, engine/box, rear end to make space for a UK 6 Cyl Boat anchor. To be rid of ASAP.



Made a bit of a frame to bolt on the floor and level up. Did 3,4 , 5 triangles on the slab, diagonal checked, square checked, etc. Ha my slab is off by around 10mm....



Dummy'd up front & rear after a huge clean up. Added guards & running boards to be sure wheels look clocked in the guards, and so far the original possies seem ok at 115"WB.

I'm a bit stuck atm, will wait till the 15th. There will be a car on display I can measure & check which has the same front added. It just seems to be a long way from the top of the front end member to the front rail humps. All is set at the supposed positions, but it still looks like something isn't right. Oh well, I'll wait until then.


Meanwhile, I picked up seats for the front.
Off a '93 Toyota Aristo, both fully electric, and very comfortable. I picked apart the Jag rear seat, and modded the wire frame to suit the Dodge. That's a comfy rear seat, too.
My helper reckons the front seats are OK.

Nice project mate. One of my mates has a 37' too, but it has HT holden f/e end fitted. If ya want any measurements (chassis height/running boards etc) let us know and i'll drop over to their place and get whatever measurments you need.
