Poor old beast, waiting to lift those front wheels in anger again...
There's got to be many more old drag cars out there, both in and out of sheds, but this is one I'd love to get my hands on.
Go the Topolinos!

As stated earlier here is a selection of my pics from those heady days of early 1/4 drag racing in SA. These are from about May 1975
The little black Anglia was driven by Sav Ali from memory
Ross Mellish
Paul Rogers in his A/Gas Anglia "Hedmen II". From memory started life with a Boss 351 and 4 speed Top Loader. In that guise this was one of the hairiest Gassers I had ever seen. Very twitchy car. Great to watch. Later fitted with auto and much more user friendly. Met Paul at the Nostalgia Meet here in Adelaide a few years ago. Nice bloke.
Chris Sirinotis
Forgotten this drivers name. Anyone remember?
Dave Gale
Phil Air I believe
Dave Gale
Pete D'Allesandro Aussie Pro Stock Champ
Graham Watson
Jimmy Walton. I believe he ran a high 7.00 pass at just over 190mph on this run
This is a pic of my old FC wagon which was my daily driver way back then.

They were taken with my little Kodak 33. I do remember the Mr Ed and Andy Capp cars although the Mr Ed morphed into a 2 door Falcon coupe in later life. Unfortunatley I don't believe I have any pics of either car.54_coupe_ute wrote:Them pics are awesome better quality than my old kodak . remember them like yesterday . anyone have pics of Mr Ed and Andy Capp. i do but cant find the yet. ..
