I've used them in three of my cars. No issues. I usually pay about 180 for a kit. The first car I wired, I used a Painless kit, for about 500. I didn't see anything there that looked like a 300 dollar bonus.

I've got one and still not confident at all.
Lectrics are anathema to me. No not enema Joe, although they do
give me the shits.
Sparks, smoke and burnt fingers are all I seem to get from wiring attempts.
Will get a trusted mate to do it for me.

yeah dave i'm with you...too much voodoo with that colored spaghetti......i believe cars should have no wires.

i have been assembling a mustang for a mate ....came to me as a bare painted shell and i have been putting it together....very long story
car is mostly done and i want to buy a loom but have been hearing some good and some not so good stories about A-Z hence the question,
from the feedback so far i think i will get one of these...then i will roughly run the wires in the direction they need to go and hand it over to
someone more smarter than me :D

Ok Joe I reckon they are great quality in that the wire and connections are very good and also the stuff you get with the kit is extremely handy, including GM Ford and Mopar wiring diagrams cable ties, connectors, the one i got is a 22 or 24 circuit I think but I didn't use all of them, but I also didn't cut them out either just in case I wish to use more stuff.

Hope this helps.

ALWAYS leave the spare circuits intact. Just pull the fuse, and leavit for "Ron" - You never know if you want to add another gadget later on.
Could be as simple as a decent reverse lamp, extra horns, fog lights.

Cheers, Mudgy

Hi mate,...
In answer to your question....yes we used a EZYWIRE Harness in my Effy Project,..it s a 22 circuit.

One thing I would say is that a mate whos a bit of a wiring guru n tech nerd wired my Effy .

However we did have a n issue that threw us a curve ball for a little while... the main feed form the altinator to the starter had bad crimp on the ends...and the main feed wire into the back of the Fuseblock also had a bad crimp....they caused issues and low voltage ......when we found the wire into the back of the fuse block it was slightly scorched...n blackened...

He commented that if you checked and either run a new heavy wire with good crimps.,....or made very sure that the crimp was OK it would be fine...

hi AL what you have stated is part of my reasoning with this brand of loom
on some american forums (hamb) this topic was discussed and mainly centred on cimping quality.

that is why i posed the question...to get LOCAL feedback, and so far it has been mainly possitive......
i know you only get what you pay for and that is why i am going middle of the road.

thanks guys

p.s. i read your thread about big tyres on 56 fords....i have a disabled car on my hoist as soon as i can get my 56 vicky
on the hoist i will remove a wheel and do some measuring for you.

No problems with crimping on mine Joe in fact if I can find it I will send you a picture of the note that was in my kit guaranteeing the crimp quality as the problem in construction on some previous looms had been corrected (I'm pretty sure they are the words they used)
