Ooooh yeah. Keepemcoming, Keepemcoming, Keepemcoming, Keepemcoming! Love all these old shots, mainly for the variety.
Zephyr with Jag motor is very cool. My brother in-law has a Mk X with triple SUs on the 3.8L. At over 1800kg It's not going to win any drag race but once it winds up it's like a freight train!

OK, OK....
Rather than just look at old cars, how about a cruise around Melbourne about 34 years ago?
Yarra River looking towards Swan St Bridge to city, light towers are Olympic Park. Then Australia's tallest building, Naru House visible at right of frame.
Jollimont rail yards viewed from Swantston St, this area is now covered over. Tall building in background is Hilton Hotel, to its right TV tower at MCG.
One of the new orange and air conditioned trams with the last of the wooden W class machines parked at Flinders St end of Elizabeth St.
Young and Jackson Hotel, now restored and without all the advertising signage. Love the cigarette company stuff. Also interesting to see McDonalds advert but it would be some years before the moved into the white building next door, in Swanston St
City square with the controversial 'Yellow Peril' (correct name The Vault), which is now located in the park opposite World Congress Centre/Crown Towers.
Kids playing in the water feature of City Square.

Speaking of the World Congress Centre, here the first building on that site, The World Trade Centre, now home to Victoria Police, Crown Towers and WCG would be built later and if I shot this today it would appear to right of frame.
Not much changed here. Looking up Elizabeth St to the Post Office, when it was still the Post Office.
King St Bridge, lots changed in this shot, Melbourne aquarium is now established at city end of bridge to left of frame.
Flinders St Station, wish there was so much traffic on this corner today.
Our Brand new Westgate Bridge, same wish applies in regard to traffic.
View from the bridge towards city, much changed in this frame. Look thru railing and you can see the remains of Riverside Dragstrip at base of bridge, before it was turned into todays parkland and lakes.
Looking across Rail Yards and Princess Bridge from Flinders St, towards the concert hall under construction. Note base of spire has just been started.
State of the art fire appliances doing their stuff in Elizabeth St.
Beginning of Mulgrave Freeway, looking north from Warragul Road.
