Hopefully you are going to start a new project Marcus. Your skill and attention to detail, as well as how well you explain stuff really is inspirational and I really enjoyed following your adventure.
Cheers

Excuse the photo dump but these are some of the photos taken by RPM Detailing.

Image
Truck after having the Stek Dynoshield high gloss self healing paint protection film added to the grille, guards and door sills. Also top of the bed sides and tailgate, along with the bed steps and skirts. Comes with a 10 year guarantee.

Image
Rest of the truck was done in Gtechniq Crystal Serum Black 10H Triple layer ceramic coating. 9 year guarantee.

These steps would not have be easy placing the thick PPF, Paint Protection Film, over.

Grille was a challenge for them too as fully covered in PPF.

Every time you look at your car you must smile and be very proud of what you built and achieved.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The more I see of the Willys, the more it occurs to me how seamlessly the modern Jeep stuff was blended into it.

There have been a few times over the years when one of the car majors has issued a retro-styled vehicle. The new VW bugs, PT Cruiser and Minis come to mind. You can largely see the "old lines" in them, at least enough to know what they are emulating, but they still make concessions to modern noise/streamlining/emissions etc. The Willys makes me think of a similar exercise by Jeep, but one where the amount of concessions were lessened and the outcome was much truer to the original car.

Cheers,
Harv

What more could be said? Absolutely Fabulous! Love the gloss!
Yeah. I've changed my signature. The old one was out of date...

Not sure why you think this is a Willys?

Interesting concept with the sliding rear roof that I had never seen before, was never used again by the look of it.
