My late Dad was a sparky as well.

I've had the bender for 30 years and never used it, but it follows me from house to house.

Interesting trying to use the door pillars. At least by retaining the lower portion you have the option to use them or make new ones.
Keeping the lower B pillars also means the seat belt reel is recess inside of it too. I hope to reuse the inner part of the upper as well for the adjustable upper mount.
I love it when I can use some of my dads old tools. After he passed, I swapped a lot of my tools that were the same with his, and then passed mine on to other family members who just want something to use around the house.

I still have a few of my grandfathers tools including a set of quality thin 'tappet spanners. Still in the original metal clip..
I never make the same mistake twice, I do it 5 or 6 times just to be sure !!!

Yes, I inheritted some old tools that were my Grandfather's, by " inherited" I mean I was around when Mum cleaned out the shed after Dad left. (Dad wasn't very tool-handy, so didn't value them). Some chisels, some spanners, adjustable square, etc. But my facvourite is one of those wooden fold-out yardsticks with the brass hinges. My Grandad was an Engineer with Hornibrooks in Wollongong. When my parents moved from the ' Gong to Canberra in 1949, Grandad and my Grandma followed them down, and Grandad worked for the Commonwealth Department of Works as a Foreman.
I do still use some of the tools, gives me a good feeling that they are still usable and relevant for the work we do today.
(Sorry to drag the thread off topic!).
Yeah. I've changed my signature. The old one was out of date...

I have some of my grandfathers tools, and some of them I gave to my grandson. They still get used.
People who think they know it all, bother those of us that do.

We know you like to holiday at this time of year, but time to get back into it.

Into the shed, head down, tail up and show us what you're up to!

Did you go anywhere special for your Hols?

We have been away camping in the bush in Gippsland this time riding all the rail trails on our mountain bikes. Did just short of 1000km in the first three weeks and been away again to Port Campbell doing more trails since. No electric assist either and even did 100km in a day on Saturday on a local rail trail.
Been working on projects like designing and making a better bike carrier that hinges down without removing the bikes, which hang vertically, so we can get to the fridge in the back of the Jeep Wagon when in camp or the end of a ride. One finger effort to put it back up too fully loaded.
Hope to be back on the Willys next week as been going to some shows in the truck too. Got best in show for classic utility a few weeks ago as well!

What show as it? (Or should I say: "What shows were they?")

The award was from the St. Andrews Northern car and bike show. But also been to other events like at the Manhattan Hotel a couple of times, Mt Evelyn Cars and Coffee and a 4 hour round trip to the Horse Power in the High Country event in Mansfield. Truck has been running faultless. :)
