Curious as to the interpretation for full NSW registration surrounding chassis and body for Pre 1949.
Has anyone registered a rod recently using a Model T on a Model A chassis or Model A on 32 rails with full registration for example or is the wording to be interpreted as chassis has to match same year of manufacture and model as body.
Full NSW Rego- Chassis and body combinations?

You can register any year chassis with any year body, provided the body meets all ADRs (or pre-ADR rules) about safety of the chassis. Essentially newer body on old chassis works, but other way around is a problem.
So you can't put an older body on (say) A late H series Holden Ute chassis but when you go back to the 20's and 30"s it becomes difficult to deicide which vehicle was safer.
I'd suggest contact Service NSW and discuss it, preferably by email so you have it in writing. Don't trust the shifty bastards.

Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Thanks Zuffen
Just working through planning at the moment, not interested in the late model chassis (non 20s to 40s) under a rod, seems more trouble than it is worth under ICV rules.
So far planning to use 28/29 chassis with dropped axle, petrol hilux 4 banger and rear end, with Model T cab.
Just gathering my info at the moment, and pulling the parts together.
I agree with your comment about the bureaucrats being sneaky. Its either that or they just make everything unintentionally vague like their personalities.
