I’ve got the car up in the air a little bit, to run brake lines. The front is done. The rear line is going to run down the passenger side with the fuel pressure and return lines. I will be setting the pinion angle and welding the spring perches while it’s up in the air too.

That rear quarter with that fat tyre and stance just looks perfect to me. :)

We don't see many Hudsons in Australia and a coupe is even rarer.

Looks pretty tough the way it sits.

I like the fenderwell headers.

I'm still here. I've been sidetracked with a Hudson Hornet engine build for someone in the car club. I'll do a little build thread on it when I have some photos to post. Not much happening with the 54 at the moment.

Hi Dany, Thanks for the update.
I look forward to seeing the engine build thread and work the 54 when it happens.

Keep us posted on both builds.

We all learn a little from people doing builds and explaining why they do certain things.

I put the factory column mount on my mill and bored it to fit my Cadillac column. It looks like it’s going to work well.

Holding that in the mill would be a challenge!
Great that you were able to use it.

Loving this thread. Really worth waiting for.
I've been a Hudson fan since my early Essex days, when I saw a "step-down" at a show.
Always wondered why guys rodded '49 (ish) Mercuries when they could same all that work and use a Hudson.
Yeah. I've changed my signature. The old one was out of date...
