Always had a soft spot for the Stout as was the fore runner to the Hilux. Even looked into adding the front clip off one to my 400 chev powered Hilux back in the 80's! Shared some of the cab architecture still back then.

I used one when I was a Milko in 1974. A great truck and I'm surprised how many have survived in restorable condition.
Being a Milko was my second job to help pay for motorsport. 4 hours sleep was plenty for a 22 year old.

Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

She's certainly one of Australia's top young builders, the last ute she built was pretty rad taking out the 2022 SMOTY award!

People who think they know it all, bother those of us that do.

Back in the 70's a mate of mine's dad had one on his dairy farm. Once when I was visiting them, the old man took us for a drive to see some old gold mines or something, back up in the hills.
I can still remember the old guy couldn't wait to get the truck into top gear (4th on the column).
Over the hills and rough paddocks in top gear. Engine running so slow the ignition light was solid on (generator)...

Yeah. I've changed my signature. The old one was out of date...
