Jag parts please
Hello
Back after a long long time away.
Who can help me with some lower control arms and drive shafts from a '60's "S" Type or "E" type Jag please. I'm a fair way down the road with a T bucket but the XJ6 stuff I have seems just too wide.
Cheers

That's a big ask.
I think you would be best looking to some one like Martin Robey in the UK.
They hold most of the old Jaguar tooling and most likely produce what you need at a cost.

Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Re: Jag parts please
Better off to just shorten what you have and make new driveshafts. What you are looking for is very hard to find. I shortened the ones in my 63 Studebaker 5 inches a side to get the rims i wanted under the guards. Still a project so can't say how it handles but looks like it should work

Re: Jag parts please
I know some one who has a set of short axles, as he has just had some heavy duty chrome moly ones made to take the extra horse power, I can check if he wants to sell them, then you would only need to shorten the bottom arms, I had my new axles made at Melbourne Balancing services in Preston Victoria, the 2" x 1/8" wall chrome moly tubes on heavy duty yokes ended up being around $2000, after I twisted the shortened original ones.
apparently it is a common problem with jag diffs and horsepower
You could also contact Mike Roddy Jaguar in Moorabbin, as I got a short S type jag diff off him a year or so back, he may have some more, the mates axles are from that diff, he got the arms and axles, I got the 3.77 LSD center, for my tourer

Re: Jag parts please
Very keen to hear if he's willing to sell thanks.
I have located a complete diff in Townsville which is tricky given I'm in South Australia!
Please let me know if they are available.
Cheers

Re: Jag parts please
Thanks all. After looking under rocks since January and having given up finding the correct S type parts a complete rear end appeared 2400 km's away. Undeterred I asked the question and he's pulled the drive shafts and lower control arms out for me and they're on a truck as we speak.
Cheers
