HI, , does anyone know of a 164teeth ford windosr flywheel with 50oz balance ?
my combo is a little strange only because its what i have lying around for my project, so if i can combine it would be great
1994 5.0l Windsor V8
164teeth manual bellhousing
single rail gearbox
i have a 50oz flywheel/new clutch etc but its only 157teeth so the starter misses by quite a bit....
had thought there might be a offset starter but so far unable to find anything ?
had though of the 65 mustang 157 teeth bellhousing but they seem hard to find, and are then not drilled for single rail and not sure on depth/spacing for input length etc
not sure if possible to have the 164teeth 28oz flywheel from clevo or 351w rebalanced to 50oz, without taking out the whole rotating assembly ?...
theres a mob in states that makes one but getting ripped on the dollar and shipping costs, plus a new clutch could get expensive
i have contacted yella terra, but they dont make one offs...
any other options here?
cheers
Warren

Hi Warren that's a bit of an oddball one .
I see Summit Racing has a listing for them if you can't find anything else .
Most of the 50oz flywheels will i reckon be 157 tooth here .

i guess another option but also hard to find would the 5 speed/bellhousing to suit the 5.0l efi windsor, but that will then muck up starter location (i think it goes on LHS) and extractors already made.....

ok got this sorted, ditched the original 164teeth bellhousing and im back using my original 50oz 157 flywheel and clutch for the 5.0l windsor and scored a quicktime Bellhousing which suits the 157teeth flywheel, just need to redrill for the single rail....
