Rochester 4 brl Carbs
I have an enquiry from an interstate mate regarding a 350 Chev Quadrajet 4 brl carb with mechanical secondaries. Does such exist? . I am only aware of vacuum units.

Thanks Chrisso. I had a read. Fortunately , I have two engines to compare myself. Just checked the Edelbrock equipped 350 in the pick up and the air plate above the secondaries is mechanically operated by the throttle linkage. The quaddy on the other engine has this as vacuum operated. I assumed the throttle plates were also, supposedly the throttle plates by description are progressive mechanically. I must ask my buddy what exactly is he after.
