Anothe Newbie to Harrass!!

Postby mybel59 on Thu Jan 12, 2006 1:56 pm

G'day all,

After being goaded out of my lurking hidey hole I thought that I would take the time to introduce myself.

Name is Steve and I am the proud owner of a 59 Chev Bel Air. I reside down on the Mornington Peninsula in Vic and enjoy attending runs/shows, R & R Dancing and the general lifestyle that is associated with cars of the era.

Heres a link to my car for all those interested....

http://www.59chevy.net/pg_rides.html

Looking forward to spending quality time on the site (by quality I mean during working hours when the boss aint around  )

say g'day if you see me at a run!

Cheers

PS: Anyone have a template for installing twin antenna on to the back of a 59. The repro ones I purchased did not come with one!!

Welcome Steve.

I knew a fellow once that had some nice 59 Chevs, A Sedan, Coupe, Wagon and a Pickup with one of those rare Chev W motors.

Welcome Steve, There are quite a few ex pussers on here. Love your ride, had a blue 59 for our wedding car. Enjoy all the useful crap that goes on here
Were you a stoker or a sea-rider?

I guess I was a sea rider...although the hairy assed stokers never seemed to mention that when the platters of food went down the spaces!!

This is an official welcome Steve......I will not admit this to everyone...but...If I was to ever get totally insane and get a liking for Chevs...I would get me one of those 59s.....but I would stick a Clevo in it !!!

Hi Steve, nice ride!
The Clevo crack was uncalled for! Myself, I reckon it would go good with any FE block in it.

Welcome Steve, I knocked around with some guys many years back who owned 59/60 Chevs, and they were really nice blokes,at that time most of my circle of friends had Cussys, any one then who had one of those Chev 'barges" was deemed offbeat, the gullwings grow on ya in the end............ Frank.
